Louis Development Corporation Challenge The main task of St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC), the City of St. Louis’ economic development agency, is to attract more businesses to the Gateway City. SLDC officials decided to host an annual business luncheon featuring St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay. A highlight of the luncheon would be a video showing the opportunities and excitement of doing business in St. Louis. Action Vector interviewed several entrepreneurs and produced a video using extensive footage of several area businesses, music and graphic animation to convey the excitement of doing business in St. Louis. Results The video was so well received at the Mayor’s initial business luncheon that SLDC hired Vector to produce another video for his second annual event. The videos are on the city’s web site and are being distributed to businesses nationwide to encourage them to move to St. Louis. The initial video won top honors in an international video awards competition. Click here to see a portion of our economic development video.
